Remember when I said that when I convert to black and white, it tends to become a thing? Well, it might just be the nature of my assignments, but that’s happening right now with motion blur.
Speaking of motion blur, here’s a better example of one I took last weekend during the Walter Payton Foundation’s Sweetness Run in Yorkville. Hand-held with a shutter speed of 1/40.
When you’re shooting something that’s moving quickly, sometimes you need to slow down the shutter to get a little motion blur. But you want to make sure everything else in the frame is nice and sharp.
I think this is pretty good for hand-held with a shutter speed of 1/10.
